About the Clinic

Kenyon St Medical Centre is an AGPAL accredited practice under the Australian General Practice Training Programme.

We work in partnership with GP Synergy to train the next generation of general practitioners for our community. Our practice has general practitioners who supervise, mentor and support registrars (doctors in training).

 

We are a family-orientated practice committed to the best quality care for our patients.

Our principal doctor, Dr Dong Hua grew up in Fairfield and has been providing medical care for patients in the area for over 15 years. 

We also have a team of allied health practitioners that are focused on improving your health. They are also NDIS accredited and have the experience and expertise to improve outcomes for those living with a disability. 

Practice information

Fees

  • Bulk billing: The GPs at this practice bulk bill all Medicare Card Holders who have a Valid Concession Card/ Children under 16. Veterans may sign the service voucher

  • Private: Fees are payable at the time of consultation by exact cash or EFTPOS. Fees can range from $70-150 for consultations

  • Allied Health Professionals have a separate schedule, please ask the receptionist for details

  • Home Visits are available to our patients. Please contact reception

Appointments

Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. 

 

Longer consultation times are available, so please let our receptionists know if you require extra time. If you or a family member requires an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please let us know when you make the appointment.

Our Practice Doctor is also able to conduct Home visitations. However, fees are applicable. 

Zero Tolerance Policy


All our staff are trained and dedicated to serving you and you will be treated with courtesy and respect at all times. In return, we ask that you and anyone that you bring with you to the Practice treat our administrative and clinical staff with the same courtesy and respect.

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE approach to any verbal, aggressive, and violent abuse and behavior towards our staff or other patients. We respectfully advise you that abuse and/or violence will not be tolerated.

If a patient or anyone a patient brings with them to the Practice, is abusive, aggressive, or violent towards our staff and/or other patients the police will be called and may result in you being removed from our Practice list.

Translation Services

We can organise for Translation Services to be provided to our patients who do not speak English, all efforts will be made to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible. If you require a translator, please inform our reception and we will arrange it for you.

Emergency

If you are experiencing an emergency you are advised to contact your local hospital by dialing 000. 

If you need to see a doctor outside of operational hours please contact the National Home Doctor Services on 13 74 25.

Reminder System/Test results 

Our practice is committed to preventative care. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be apart of this system please let your doctor or receptionist know.

Medical Certificate/Scripts

You must make an appointment to get a medical certificate and scripts. PLEASE NOTE: Certificates cannot be backdated.

Receiving test and procedure results 

Your doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive if they need to discuss them with you. Call us to confirm if your results are back. Your doctor will seek your permission to be included on our reminder system. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be apart of this system please let your doctor or receptionist know. 

 

Our Recall Policy involves:

  • 3 calls to remind you that your results have come in

  • Fail to answer our calls or book an appointment in the following week will result in a friendly reminder letter

  • Fail to return after 3 calls and a letter has been sent will incur a registered letter

Due to privacy and confidentiality reasons, results will not be given over the phone by reception. 

Management of your personal health information

Your medical records are confidential documents. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. We abide by the 10 National Privacy Principles available at www.privacy.gov.au/health/index.html.

 

Your Rights 

If you have a problem we would like to hear about it.  Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously.
