Practice Information

Fees ​

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash ONLY. The GPs at this practice bulk bill pensioners and Health Care Card holders. Veterans may sign the service voucher. Without a medicare card fees can range from $50-$80 for consultations. 

Kenyon  Street Medical Centre offers home visits outside of business hours with a GAP payment fee of $250. Please contact us on 8764 1630 and your call will be put through to a doctor.

Otherwise Please contact the National Home Doctor Service on 13 7425 or dial 000 in case of emergency

If you have any difficulty in paying our fees, please discuss it with us.

Allied Health Professionals have a separate fee schedule, please see receptionist for details. 

Appointments

Please ring 8764 1630  for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your GP has been called away. Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our receptionists if you require some extra time. If you or a family member requires an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please let us know when you make the appointment.

Management of your personal health information

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. We abide by the 10 National Privacy Principles available at www.privacy.gov.au/health/index.html.

Pathology Collection 

For your convenience, there is an on-site Laverty pathology collection service for blood and other specimens on Monday to Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 am. 

Getting the results of any test or procedure

Your doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive at the practice if they need to discuss them with you. Call reception on 02 8764 1630 to confirm if you results are back

 

Our Recall Policy involves

  • 3 Calls to remind you that your results have come in

  • Fail to answer our calls or book an appointment in the following week will result in a friendly letter reminder

  • Fail to return after 3 calls and a letter has been sent, will incur a registered letter

Please feel free to talk to your doctor or the receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or use our suggestion box. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously.
